MBS Fit Co. (My Best Self) will be celebrating their first “Birthday” by presenting the Empower and Celebrate Gala on October 4th from 6pm to 9pm. It will be held at Woodmen Life located at 309 South Hollywood Road, Houma, LA 70360.
Join in on the “Sunday’s best” soiree that will be a celebration of others while first anniversary celebratory balloons swag in the background. The company’s goal is to salute local women-owned businesses and push them to the forefront of the event. Also, during the event, the anticipated launch of the new Athleisure line will be announced while food and beverages are served.
“Although this is a celebration of our accomplishment, at the end of the day, the biggest part that got us to this point is all the support that we had. From all the other businesses that welcomed us to their space over this last year, this is an opportunity to give back to them and bring them into our event,” Pam Rivet, owner of MBS Fit Co. stated.
MBS wants to honor those that have offered helpful handbaskets to assist with their first fruitful year. Therefore, local businesses/ sponsors will be honored throughout the evening with noble notoriety: supporting speeches of empowerment, vendor tables spotlighted with significance, notability upon a banner and in “girl-power” pamphlets.
“We want to give back, lift them up and celebrate them. Our event is going to be very little about us and a lot more about them,” Pam said.
Pam and business partner, Mandi St. Germaine, focus on God first and put others before themselves. Therefore, the celebration will be draped in details of generosity and community sentiment. All profits from the ticket and silent auction proceeds will go to the Mariposa Foundation. The silent auction items have been donated by attendees/ sponsors and outside businesses.
“Alicia Bergeron with the Mariposa Foundation helps women that are in a bad place. It’s a foundation that helps women that are lost and helps them find themselves again. She does free life coaching for them, and she even offers scholarships to help them get on their feet,” Pam explained.
Into the evening, the party atmosphere will “confetti” with celebration of honorable mentions and promotion of MBS and others.
“We want to lift women up in general,” Pam ended.
