Unveiling the Woman Beyond the Cape: MBS Fit Co. Empowers Women Through Mind, Body, and Soul

Unveiling the Woman Beyond the Cape: MBS Fit Co. Empowers Women Through Mind, Body, and Soul

Every day, women tie capes around their necks and soar off into the sky. We save the day healing boo-boos, buying needed groceries, carpooling, continual cooking, and constant cleaning. While soaring into the sky fluffed with foggy clouds of errands and care giving, our capes sometimes whisp in front of us, veiling our underlying identity (other than a mom).

“We have a mom focus because that’s where my heart is. It’s the mommas that lose themselves in being a wife and a mama. We just put ourselves on the back burner. So, it’s offering them those pieces to put on and feel confident, but still be able to be a mom,” Pam said.

Pam Rivet is owner of MBS (My Best Self) Fit Company. The brand swoops in and encourages self-worth “under the superwoman/ mom cape” with three tactics: mind, body, and soul. Therefore, the MBS Fit Company slogan is, “The Woman Beyond the Cape”.

The three saving tactics came slowly together as a whole in God’s perfect timing.

“In 2016, I found myself at a point where everything came to a head. I was wondering, ‘Who am I? I became a mom at fifteen years old. Also, in 2016, I had my third child and I filed for divorce when she was nine months old. I was very lost and broken. I got lost in being a mom and other things. I never had time to find me and who I was,” Pam stated.

Pam dabbled in different areas associated with fitness to try and fulfill her life, but only one was the start to the destined “never-ending”. She started a mock-up (different business name) of her current established company of MBS Fit Co.

Over the next few years, Pam had her momentary highs and “tripping over rotten rubbish” lows. Despite the life dips and dimness, God slightly cracked open a door. A sliver of light shone of the future. During 2016, Pam crossed paths with Mandi St. Germaine. They both became Beach Body coaches but eventually, the coaching dwindled and their loose connection lullabied. Their acquaintanceship “fell asleep” until it would be reawakened again by God.

Before the awakening of Pam’s true self in the Lord, she found two pieces to the triangle shaped puzzle of mind, body, and soul. Eventually, the third piece would be perfectly fitted to complete Pam and to fully shape her company brand.

“That’s when I started to pick up books and started to read and I started listening to personal development podcasts. I also started journaling. So, I was slowly getting better with the mental aspect,” Pam said.

“I also couldn’t function physically. So, I saw Casie Trosclair, a functional medicine doctor. She put me on a natural path to healing. Within three months, I felt like a new person. The brain fog lifted, and I felt great,” she added.

At the beginning of 2023, the final piece was still missing. Pam still felt incomplete, until, yet again, God’s timing chimed and her friend, Jenna Guerro divinely “duped” her into completion – attending a worship LO Sister Conference. Before Pam attended the conference, she had a vision from God that vividly depicted the completed trilogy of her fitness company.

“I came to a stop, and I felt transported out of my body. Flash! I saw myself standing on a stage and thousands of women. Flash! I saw a health and fitness magazine. Flash! I saw myself and a group of women in superwomen poses during a photo shoot. I also saw Mandi and I working together. I was in tears and called Jenna and said, ‘I know what to do!’” Pam exclaimed.

A few months later, Pam attended the conference. There, she was completed spiritually. The triangle became connected at each point, resulting in a sound mind and future brand.

“Jenna tricked me into going to a conference with her. I was very reluctant. It wasn’t that I didn’t believe in God, I was angry at God. I felt like He let me down because of all the things that happened in my past. But I went, and God met me there. I left the conference and surrendered my life to God,” Pam explained.

“When I got home, I knew I needed to start MBS Fit Company. It was a sign from God,” she added.

After Pam’s sign from God, the earlier visual dream that entailed Mandi reawakened.

“I questioned that so much, because I never saw myself working with someone. I’ve always been very independent. I sat and battled with the idea for a couple months. I didn’t want to let go of control,” Pam said.

With a surrendering heart, Pam contacted Mandi in November of 2023. Throughout the years, fellowship between the two was laxed, but they were fully connected with similar spiritual backgrounds. Mandi also went through the same divine journey comparable to Pam’s. God brought the two fitness-minded women together and solidified their friendship…tick-tock-chime, the Lord’s perfect time.

“We ended up meeting after Christmas. We met at Starbucks in Houma, and I ultimately asked her, ‘Do you want to be a part of MBS Fit Co.?’” Pam stated.

On New Year’s Day of 2024, Mandi wholeheartedly accepted Pam’s invitation and became her partner. When the team received their first samples of the Athleisure fitness clothing collection, they announced Mandi’s partnership during the launch.

“It was one of those moments where I really saw the work of God. I was like, ‘Wow!’” Pam exclaimed.

September 13th, 2023 was the true establishment date of MBS Fit Company. Therefore, before leaping into the air with Mandi, Pam learned about business logistics by reading, listening to podcasts, and researching via Google. Then, the two superwomen attached their clear unburdened capes and flew over a faith-based “field”.

“I didn’t find my best self until I knew I had all three pieces. It wasn’t just the physical aspect I needed or the mind part of it, but it wasn’t until I had the spiritual portion until I felt whole,” Pam said.

Therefore, MBS Fit Company covers all three areas of a woman’s life which is mind, body, and soul. The triangle is completed and colored in with shadings of spiritual confidence.

“It’s all about empowering women, and for women to find their best selves and to do that with all three pieces,” Pam stated.

MBS Fitness Co. offers Athleisure fitness clothing that boosts confidence and initiates a superwoman leap of self-worth. The three pieces; bralettes, leggings, and shirts/ jackets are detail oriented with moms in mind. The strong leggings are created with tummy control and advocates self-love. Athleisure also reduces frustrations and distressing distractions such as padding sown into the bralettes. Classiness collides with the attire enabling a mama to quickly move and groove to the “dance” of the day.

“There’s a lot more that’s coming. It’s just building a little bit at a time,” Pam said.

Pam and Mandi’s enduring mindset for My Best Self Fitness Company is the encompassment of every aspect of mind, body, and spirit. Therefore, the brand has rounded into a world of women’s worth and overall health.

Within the women’s world, faith is focused upon and used as a tool to maintain heart health, such as faith-based affirmation cards and Journals scripted with daily bible verses. In addition to maintenance and renewal of spirit, future conferences will enliven godly worth.

Also, within the MBS world, more fitness resources will be available to progress bodily well-being and ease of healthy endeavors. Therefore, Pam has designed an at-home fitness cabinet that is aesthetically charming to prompt personal wellness. She also has plans to formulate a protein powder. It will combine possible hormone balancers, collagen, and supplements, uncomplicating the daily intake of nutrition. The fitness resources will help strengthen women to bound from building to building.

MBS recognizes womanly strength in each corner of the world. The company is always on a superwoman mission to boost a woman’s confidence in every area of their lives.

“We wanted to bring other women into MBS Fit co. as well. So, we have MBS Fit Icons. These are women that have faced a triumph in their life they’ve overcome. If they portray My Best Self, we want to honor and celebrate them. So, we ask them to be an icon for us,” Pam stated.

“The current MBS Fit Icon is Gabrielle Barba. She named the new collection, I am Fearless. The bralette is named, I am Worthy because it’s something she repeats to herself daily. She said, ‘She is worthy of the blessings that God has given to her.’ The shorts are called, I am Enough because she was self-conscious about her legs. She said, ‘When I put them on, I am enough.’ The tank is called, I am Resilient because she said, ‘The top shows my arms, a part that holds my babies and nurtures them…,’” Pam said.

The selected Fit Icons name the new collection and name the individual pieces. They receive a free set of Athleisure and model the newly named collection in a photo shoot. They are then featured on the MBS Fit Co. website with an attached biography and detailed descriptions behind the name selections. All the pieces are named after “I am” affirmations. The previous collection, I am Empowered, was named by Brandy Verdin, past MBS Icon.

In Pam’s and Mandi’s eyes, each woman/ mom is an icon. They believe each one is a superwoman that can rise higher and higher, above the storm clouds. Therefore, they stand with them daily, supporting their next leap.

“We also have a really big focus on supporting other local women-owned businesses, especially the ones with the mind, body, and soul aspect,” Pam stated.

MBS partners with local businesses, “popping-up” and collaborating whilst uplifting the women under the business shawl.

Encouragement is generously gifted to each woman that meets the My Best Self brand. They can set aside their cape and receive endowed encouragement in a safe place. Therefore, the podcast, Finding my Best Self, aired.

“We talk about whatever is going on in their life at that time. It’s a safe space to talk and open up about their journey and where they are now…their battles and their triumphs. The feedback they receive from other women boost their confidence,” Pam said.

A superwoman leap from the podcast room to a MBS business front is possible – with God. Pam and Mandi are “hands-free” and allow God to be in control. Right now, the company’s Athleisure wear will be available in local boutiques and a boutique in Virgina.

“I’m fully surrendering and letting go of control. The plan is already laid out and I don’t know what that is. It’s going to be shown to me as and when it’s supposed to, and I’m just going to keep taking it one day at a time,” Pam stated.

Therefore, God is leading Pam and Mandi one willed day at a time.  He is the main protagonist of MBS Fit Company trilogy. The brand will always draft and compile stories that will surround a woman’s mental, physical, and spiritual well-being. Each piece of the triangle; mind, body, and soul are bared and bookmarked at the final chapter, “Take off your Cape”.

“You’re constantly wearing this cape of ‘I have to be’ and we forget about ourselves. So, it was the notion, take the cape off and take care of you and find you. Every woman is superwoman, but there is a woman beyond the cape. Every woman deserves to be loved and nurtured too,” Pam ended.
